FAQ

  • There are virtually no mycotoxins in our coffees. But here’s the real story, there are virtually no mycotoxins in ANY coffee. The marketing around “healthy coffee” is wildly deceptive. It’s best to focus upon sustainable practices, ethical standards and quality. For a deep dive on the topic, visit coffee expert James Hoffman’s video.

  • If you were to brew coffee that was roasted that same day, it would taste AMAZING right???

    No

Coffee is best with a little age on it. And some more than others. Subtle light-roasted coffees benefit from a week or more before reaching their peak. Conversely, darker roasts in an open bag fall apart pretty quickly because the coffee oils oxidize and grow stale.

  • We attempt to ship same-day with exception of weekends. Coffee is always within a few days of roast date and often less than 24 hours. We rely upon UPS and USPS ground services.

  • We offer bags of coffee in sizes and subscriptions designed to offer the best value. We are proud of our 3.5 pound ECO BOX which is 100% curbside recyclable. Beyond a few fun items like our milk-glass mug, it’s only coffee. And we can grind for you as needed but know that coffee stays freshest as whole bean. Better to have us grind it than use a cheap non-burr grinder though. :)

  • Bigger bags equate to less expensive cost-per-cup. Packaging adds a lot to the cost of the final product. By getting a bigger bag, the ratio of bag-to-coffee goes in the right direction.

  • From our Q&A

I live in Gresham. I want to try your coffee. Preferably in a cafe where someone brews it for me. Where can I go?

We’re not yet in Gresham but if you’re rolling along 205, Bella’s Italian Market is just off the Foster Rd exit very close to the freeway. Amazing house made authentic baked goods.
